The Great Planting Fest at Vidya Ghat

At GHPS Sanjeevini Nagar, under the leadership of Headmaster Mr. Muniraju and the guidance of teacher Mr. Raju, students wholeheartedly embraced the Veggie4School curriculum, eager to explore the wonders of sustainable gardening.

From the outset, it was evident that the students were fully engaged and eager to participate in every workshop. With the support of Mr. Muniraju and Mr. Raju, the Garden Gurus found an enthusiastic cohort ready to delve into the world of gardening.

During the planting workshop, the students’ excitement was palpable as they eagerly absorbed every detail, from the importance of trimming the tip of growing pots to the significance of moistening the soil before transplantation. Their eagerness to learn was evident as they eagerly sought clarification on topics such as watering schedules, soil composition, and plant preferences for light and shade.

The students’ proficiency with tools like the trowel showcased their quick learning from previous chapters, demonstrating their readiness to apply newfound knowledge in practical settings. As they carefully observed the soil mixtures in the wooden boxes, they gained a deeper understanding of the components used and their roles in fostering plant growth.

With growing pots transplanted and seeds sown, the students eagerly awaited the fruits of their labor, eagerly anticipating the growth of their vegetable plants. Their enthusiasm extended beyond the planting workshop, as they eagerly participated in every aspect of the curriculum, from square foot garden design to plant care and management.

For the students of GHPS Sanjeevini Nagar, the Veggie4School curriculum was more than just a series of workshops; it was a journey of discovery, empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
